Not to much went on today. I checked out the North Hall today,
Microsoft has their booth set up in the main lobby, and really that’s about it for now. I ventured on down to the expo floor, and once again, didn’t see much.
I did sneak a peek in to the expo floor and caught a glimpse of the Sony booth fully equiped with a friggin big ass tv.
The north hall is also where G4’s X-Play is set up, right next to the Microsoft booth.
After that I kinda wandered around until lunch time. I had a delicious ham and cheese sandwich, golden delicious apple, and a delightful blueberry cobbler. Sorry I didn’t get a photo of it, but believe me, it was magnificent.
Now I understand that sarcasm doesn’t translate well though text, but you gotta understand, I was bored out of my fucking mind. As mediocre as that pre-packed lunch that the conference so generously provided me was, it was still the highlight of my morning.
The day did pick up in the afternoon though. I rolled in to the press lounge and hung out with the GoNintendo crew for a little bit. We discussed how ridiculous the internet can get, and the quality of the more recent episodes of The Simpsons. I was fearing that was all I was gonna have to write about for you folks but then a megaton got dropped on us.
That’s right. Brownies. DID YOU READ THAT?! I SAID BROWNIES!!
The brownie goodness was quickly interrupted by one of the GoingSony staffers giving dropping the table a tip that D3Publisher was showing a small handful of games at a nearby hotel, so in the interest of getting some actual work done, I quickly rolled over there.
Unfortunately I can’t talk about anything that I saw until next Friday. Ain’t that a bitch?
However, it’s my first embargo, so I was totally stoked about it.
Anyhow, that’s pretty much it for the second day of GDC 2k8, be sure to stay tuned here because Wednesday is when the fun really starts. They’ll be more to read about than free lunches and delicious brownies that’s for damn sure.
