This won the 2008 Independent Games Festival Award for Excellence in Visual Art at the Game Developers Conference last week. And rightfully so! You can’t go wrong with the pixel art style. The gameplay appears to be very similar to Super Paper Mario and Echochrome.
It’s being developed by Kokoromi, an small collective of indie developers based out of Montreal, Quebec. Their goal consists of a three pronged attack of creating experimental games, encouraging creativity throughout the video game industry, and promoting their games as art. You should check out their site, it’s brimming with even more illness, especially if you dig pixel art.
