Girth Industries was formed in the summer of 2000 by then 16 year old Christopher Robert Cossey of Hamilton, MT. It started out as a small graphic design company serving various local bands in Western Montana’s beautiful Bitterroot Valley. The company moved with Chris to Bozeman, MT while he attended college at Montana State University, pursuing a degree in Media and Theater Arts. The company’s focus broadened to include video and audio media production to coincide with the knowledge Chris was acquiring in Bozeman.
In the summer of 2005 Chris transfered to Los Angeles in order to learn more of the field of animation. In early 2006 Chris partnered up with the infamous Los Angeles radio personality bEe JELLYFISH! and started producing segments for her two hour program on Spread Radio Live. Since then Chris has been building Girth Industries in to a multi-media content creation organization, offering it’s services in the fields of audio and video production, graphic design, and amateur journalism.
Girth Industries produced it’s own radio program, The W0rd, which aired weekly on KCLAfm.com. Five episodes were also podcasted on this very website.
At this very moment Girth Industries is going through a site redesign and expansion. The podcast will return soon, but is currently in the development stage. In the next few weeks, the news coverage will broaden and cover more areas of popular culture.
